Alyssa Titus was born in Queens, NY in November 1986, but moved to Oviedo, FL when she was just 3 or 4 years old and spent the rest of her childhood growing up in Central Florida with her Mom, older brother, and grandparents. She was actively involved in her home church, Tuskawilla UMC, as a youth. In 8^th grade, she went on a weekend youth retreat that led to a relationship with Christ- and she has never looked back!

After that weekend, Alyssa got very involved in her church and her faith - serving on many youth and church-wide committees and worked on many projects. It was at this church that she received the calling to go into youth ministry when she was 17 years old! Tuskawilla UMC was also where she met her fiancé, Keith Knox, who will be joining us in January 2010. In 2005, she graduated from Oviedo High School and headed off to the University of Florida. She loves those Gators!

She majored in Family, Youth and Community Sciences and in May 2009, she received a Bachelor of Science degree. Throughout her summers in college, Alyssa returned home to work as a youth intern at her old church. Alyssa was also a Wyldlife leader in Gainesville, volunteering with the girls at Ft. Clarke Middle School and having the time of her life doing it! She was actively involved in Phi Mu sorority, and can be often seen wearing the sorority colors (rose and white) or sporting her Greek letters proudly.

Aside from hanging out with youth, Alyssa’s hobbies and interests include dancing (country-line dancing is her new favorite), reading for fun now that she is out of school, obsessing over Gator Football, working out when she has time, and planning her July 2010 wedding.
